MAXTerminatedServiceError, the fix from the knowlegebase does not work

I get a dialog window when starting the MAX with the message "MAXTerminatedServiceError". The error links to a fix from the knowlegebase but it does not solve the problem.

I even tried to reinstall the NI Device Drivers but the problem is still there....

What to do?

Hi anders_dk!

According to the database the configuration manager might have crashed, if trying to solve it from the services window on Windows doesnt solve the issue you might try to upgrade your Max version. What version are you currently using? Also there is a database corruption that is sometimes related to this behaviour. To upgrade Max you need to download the latest DAQ driver or another NI driver from www.ni.com.

Hope this helps, ill try to check something else!

Take care!

Hi Oswald

Apparently it was a database problem,

I renamed the folder C😕Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\MAX\data

Restarted windows, reinstalled drivers for the NI hardware and the problem is solved

What can make the database crash? How do I avoid this in future?

The MAX is version 4.6.0f1
