In the past USB DAQ instruments "seem" to be susceptible to Windows domineering or whims when it will turn off the USB because it doesn't like it for some reason. A reboot or MAX instrument reset always brings it back but unfortunate waking up from an idle state, ie application is running but next acquisition fails. Reset app works fine most of the time. I don't blame NI, think it is more Windows messing with the USB ports.
Looking to upgrade to the USB 3 NI 6421 from the NI 6002. Don't need the higher channel count or speed. Has anyone had connection issues waking up from idle? Willing to upgrade to USB 3 if the reliability has improved.
I don't like calls from customer telling that the instrument is flaky.
