Is NI going to support NI-DAQmx on Macs?

Despite listing Mac compatibility in its literature for the USB-6211 ( http://www.ni.com/pdf/products/us/cat_mseries_621x.pdf ) National Instruments has not updated the NI-DAQmx for Mac in several years now.  Several support pages state that it anticipates supporting newer versions of Labview or OS X but it appears they haven't. Some of the links that used to go to Mac versions of the driver have vanished or return broken links.  The last two times I installed it I had to find a forum post with a hack that fixed it to work in 2017 and that hack also worked in 2018.

Is the USB-6211 and NI-DAQmx EOL or is there a driver more recent than 2017 available?

Hi!

DAQmx Base (DAQmx for mac os) is EOL.

A potential workaround would be to dual boot your machine or use a VM.

Hello,

The downloads pages for DAQmx Base 15.0 should be fixed in the next week or so.  This break was an unintentional side effect of our site restructure. In the meantime, please contact technical support to see if they can help you while the links are repaired by our web team.

As mentioned above, DAQmx Base is EOL, so there is not currently a plan for future releases past 15.0.

Highest Regards,

Paul
