Is NI-DAQ USB 6001 compatible with ubuntu?

Solved!

Hi,

I installed nidaqmx driver for USB 6001 on ubuntu. When I try to communicate with the device, it gives me the error below:

nidaqmx.errors.DaqError: Device identifier is invalid.
Device Specified: Dev1

Is USB 6001 compatible with ubuntu?

Thanks!

According to this: NI Hardware and Operating System Compatibility - NI, USB-6001 is not supported on Linux.

Thank you Jerry. Can you recommend a DAQ device that will work well on Linux?

Depends on what your budget and IO need is, unfortunately none of NI's low cost USB DAQ devices are supported on Linux. The only USB DAQ I believe that it is supported on Linux is CompactDAQ, cDAQ-9171/9174/9178. It is highly versatile with a great set of IO modules, but it is much more expensive than an USB-6001.
