Interrupts not working with AT-AO-10 on Win2K

I am trying to install an AT-AO-10 analog output card, under windows 2000. When starting the Test Panel in "Measurement & Automation Explorer" from NI-DAQ 7.40, I receive an error "device is not responding to the first irq level" and have to click continue. The board's outputs then respond properly to the tests - I can measure the correct waveforms.

Any advice on how to fix this situation, does it really matter?

It took some effort to get the board recognized at all:

Win2K would not automatically recognize the board in any way - I assume it is completely non-P+P. Thus, MAX would not list it in the device tree.

I added the board manually with Window's Hardware Manager, setting all resources manually. The irq's I had to change as Windows listed them as conflicting. I set them to 7 and 9, and set the jumpers on the board to match. I also set the BIOS to "legacy isa" for irq's 7 and 9.

After all that, MAX recognized the board, but gives the above irq problem.

The AT-AO-6/10 boards are old boards and I have used them a lot when ISA was king. They are non pnp devices. You have to go to device manager and add them manually and set the DMA and IRQ's.
The settings have to match the jumper settings of the board.
All you need is a DMA (for waveform generation like a sine wave) and at least one IRQ.
regarding the error, it is either that
1) there is a conflict
2) one jumper is not set right
3) the board has a bad IRQ

disable one IRQ at a time and do the test , then you will figure out which one to remove/disable.

Advice, whenever it came to updating old computers, I have removed the AT-AO boards and replaced them by PCI-6704 or PCI-6713 boards. Sooner or later, there will be no support for these boards.
