Independent control of multiple analog output channels on M-series boards

Dear All,
I want to output 2 different waveforms on the 2 analog output channels of my PCI-6221 M-series board independently
I wanted to know if this is at all possible.
At the moment I have them lined up the 2 waveforms in a two-dimensional array, with a single DAQmx task handling the output on both channels, since I can't seem to get independent timing control if I have 2 separate tasks for the above.

Well, sorry to say that you cannot have independent tasks/update rates for each AO channel

but as you must already be aware, it is possible to have different 'waveform patterns' on each Channel generated at same time using same task

I wanted to ask you whether independently timed analog output is not possible because of the drivers, i.e. software, or is it a hardware issue.
Can one get around it somehow?

This is a hardware related limitation

and sorry to say that no workaround is possible
