You will need to configure the SCXI system using MAX. You will follow different steps depending on which SCXI modules you have. This page is a good starting point:

Once you have configured the SCXI modules, you can reference them inside CVI using a DAQ channel name that looks like this:
ob0!sc1!md1!0
where "sc1!" is the SCXI chassis, "md1" is the module # in the chassis, and "0" is the channel on that module.
