How to use synchronous counting with PCI-MIO-16E-4 ?

I 'm using PCI-MIO-16E-4 and control the gate to measure the source in buffered period measurement mode. If gate edges arm and no source edges are present between those gate edges, the previously saved value is saved again . In this state ,I wish the value is zero .How can I get this result ? Sorry for my poor English.

With the STC counter chip in the PCI-MIO-16E-4, you will not be able to configure it to return a zero if no pulses come in on the Source, it will always return the current value of the counter.

What you will want to do is set up a simple loop that will check every value of the array to the previous value. If both values are the same, change the second one to zero.

Let me know if you have any problems implementing this.

If I do as you tell me, I can not know the second value is zero or the previous value. There is the probability that both values are the same.

I don't know whether the stale data error could solve this problem. I'll try in my next step.
Thanks you very much!
