I used to have working thermocouple channels in an SCXI-1303 module in a SCXI-1000 chassis going to my PCI-6052e card. All of a sudden I can't see these channels in DAQmx (they used to start with SC1...). I have both Traditional DAQ and DAQmx on this machine running LabVIEW 8.2. I'm not sure if someone updated one of the drivers and that killed my fun or what. Please advise if you know what could be going on.
Thanks.

Are you able to see the device in Measurement and Automation Explorer? If so, can you run a test panel on the thermocouple module (right click on the module and select test panels)? What DAQmx driver version are you currently using? The driver versions can be found in Measurement and Automation Explorer under the software tab in the configuration tree.

Are you able to run a test panel in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) with your device? This is done by right clicking on the module in MAX and selecting test panels. I attached a screen shot of what you should be seeing when you are configuring your device. The only difference is that I am simulating an SCXI chassis so the icon appears yellow next to my modules. If the device does not show up, try changing the slot the SCXI module is in and reset the device in MAX by selecting VIEW>>Refresh in the toolbar.

Hi Jordan,
My screen doesn't look like that. I'm unable to see the SCXI chassis at all in MAX. I will attach a snapshot of what I have in MAX. Next step I guess is to try a different slot.

It sounds like you need to manually add your SCXI chassis and modules in MAX to get you started. To do this you can reference the screenshot attached or by right clicking Devices and Interfaces in the configuration tree in MAX and selecting the appropriate SCXI chassis. You will then need to configure the modules in your system. After this is done, you should see your chassis in MAX and be able to access the channels from your different modules.
