How to manage 3 signals (triggering, input and output) on NI USB-6551

dear all, I'm facing serious troubles in understanding whether it is possible to do the following thing with a NI-6251 USB.

I have two sensors and I want to turn on the second sensor only when a signal from  the first sensor is above a given threshold; then I want to sample the output of the second sensor only when is turned on. So I need to manage three signals:

1. I need to acquire the triggering signal from the first sensor and when the signal is above a threshold

2. I need to ouput a high signal to turn on the second sensor

3. I need to acquire and logging the output of the second sensor

I would be very happy if someone could explain me if

1. it is possible to do it with a NI-6251 USB daq

2. how to do it (i'm gonna to use LabView)

thanks a lot

dave
