How do you configure a DIO port for Ni-DAQmx in VB. Net

I apologize first off if this question has been asked before, but I am new to VB. Net and NI-DAQmx. We are in the process of starting to convert over from VB 6 and NI-DAQ traditional. In NI-DAQ traditional we had a function DIG_PORT_Config. I know there is no such function for VB.Net. I saw that there are some examples in C but I could not find any in VB.Net. So how would I go about in VB.Net? Any sample code would be greatly appreciated.
