How do I output analog and digital waveforms in sync with eachother?

Hello,

My application outputs a pulse wave (square wave with 5% duty cycle) and a sine wave with twice the frequency.  They are using the onboard memory to be continuously outputting these waveforms.  I need a digital channel outputting a square wave (50% duty cycle) with the same frequency as the pulse wave.

Is there any way to do it? If there is, can I use the same timing device for both the analog waveform and the digital one?

in Labview 8.6, with multifunction-DAQ - PCI-6229.

Thanks!

preschooler,

You will want to use a counter to time your 2 signals.  If you see the example: Multi-Function-Synch Dig Read Write with Counter.VI this is almost exactly what you want.  You will have to change the digital input to Analog task and make a few rate changes, but this should be the basic timing idea you need.  If you would like more information on how this example works or you cannot get it working please feel free to post back.
