How can PCI 6111E work its best?

My PCI-6111e board can work at 5M S/s.
However, when I use continuous acquisition, it can only work at 1M S/s.
My PC is K7 of 650M. What should I do to
make it work the highest sample rate?

I have the same problem and interest in a solution. I am experimenting with
buffer sizes and task scheduling to see how fast and for how long a continuous
acquisition can work.
