How can I use the 250kSps of the PCI-6221?

Hello!

I want to use the PCI-6221 in a measuring and controlling application.

I simply connected a DAQ assistang set to "1 sample (on demand)" to another DAQ assistant set to the same, placed both in a While-Loop and added a Delay of 1ms.

I tested the application with a 2kHz square wave and noticed a delay of 50us, but with a jitter of 50us.

As far as I know, the PCI-6221 is able to run authonomous. And it has a sample rate of 250kSps and more.

How can I use this authonomous mode and this high sample rate.

Maybe this is a silly question, but I'm not very experienced. Maybe you can send me a link to a document for self teaching or to an application note.

1 sample on demand uses software timing which is not very accurate or fast on computers running windows.  You are going to want to use N samples or continuous samples.

Go to the example finder and do a search for acquisition there will be many examples to look at.
