High freq noise on 6110 analog out

Hello,

I am using the PCI 6110 and the BNC 2110 connector block to use as a voltage ramp to drive a scanner. I noticed there is some small random scanner movement variation during the ramp and when connecting either of the two BNC 2110 analog outs directly to an oscilloscope I have some high frequency noise (app 2.5MHz) and slow noise (around 100Hz) in the range of 5-10mV.

I am not sure if that is normal, but assume the noise to be lower, less than a mV or even less. I tried both FS and GS setting and all combinations of grounding straight with the analog out jack as well as the extra analog reference connector.

Any ideas, might the cable be broken?

Thanks for the help

If you think the cable is broken, you can try another one. If the noise is too much of a problem, add a filter.
