Hardware Analog Triggering in DAQ

Hi everyone. I am reposting this question that was asked in the LabVIEW forum.

"Hi!
I have a PCI6071E DAQ board + LabView 6i and would like to define an analog trigger on one of the channels and get its value on some output (PFI0 ?). The problem is that a regular trigger definition starts the data acquisition only after the trigger occurs. What I would like to have is data acquisition which is not affected by the trigger. (How) is it possible ?
Thank you,
Sergey."

Sergey,
Could you tell me more details about what you want? I don't quite understand the behavior that you would like to see.

Thank you,

I'd like to start acquiring data. Then, when, say, the value of channel0 is between 3 and 5 volt, I want to have 1 on PFI0 (or some other output pin). All the time after the data acquisition started, the DAQ buffer is being filled by data that can be read by LabView application, regardless of the value of channel0.

Thank you,
Sergey.
