Fixing the screw pin USB-6229

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I have been trying to generate two identical TTL signals using the USB-6229, which has two counters.

However, one of the counter outputs (PFI-12) has a screw whose screw head has been worn away severely - I have no ability to remove it. Is there anyway for me to replace this head without sending it back to NI ?

Cheers,

Alister

It's pretty easy to divert the counter output to a different PFI pin whose screw head isn't damaged.  You don't have to be stuck using the default pin (PFI 12).  The shipping examples for counter pulse output let you choose which PFI pin to direct the pulse onto -- just look at the code to see how to do it for your app.

CAUTION! New LabVIEW adopters -- it's too late for me, but you *can* save yourself. The new subscription policy for LabVIEW puts NI's hand in your wallet for the rest of your working life. Are you sure you're *that* dedicated to LabVIEW? (Summary of my reasons in this post, part of a voluminous thread of mostly complaints starting here).
