Error Code 10805

I am using traditional NI-DAQ channels on PCI-MIO-16XE-10 card with SC-2040 module and CB-50LP connection module. When testing simple analog input in Measurement & Automation exploirer, I get error 10805 (occured at AI Control).

The analog input worked well, until I removed some capacitors from CB-50LP module. I was not carefull about the position of the capacitors, and I can't find solution for the problem anywhere now. There is somekind external triggering coneccted (Channel TRIG on J10 on SC-2040 module is wired on pin 38  on module CB-50LP (which is only connection to pin 38 on J11 module, which is PFI0/TRIG1, I guess?). When working, there was 8 capacitors 103 K5C alltogether, and some pins on CB-50LP were connected.

Does anyone know about the way to deal with this problem? I am using Windows XP

So far I found out, that problem might be connected with noise on triggering input (which was probbably canceled by capacitors), but I don't now how to deal with this noise.

Thanks in advance,

Peter Jakopic

Hi Peter, the problem, you described is really connected with the triggering speed. These pulses need be no longer than 10 ns to be detected by the DAQ board. Noise can also cause many edges to occur faster than the board can respond, resulting in the -10805 errorhttp://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/5E43E334761325BE8625616B006F4CE6?OpenDocumentThe noise can be suppressed by the conductor, or for example you can use some other logichttp://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/14A90E5759875BBF86256DD400034FDD?OpenDocumentRegards,Jiri KeprtJiří Keprt | Application Engineer
