Error-200170 channel specified does not exist

While using N.I. Data Logger with a N.I. USB-6008 DAQ, I am now seeing the folowing error code:

Error - 200170 occured at Physical channel specified does not exist on this device

I am perplexed as the device has been used for this application before, as we normally use all 8 analogue inputs.

Can anyone Help?

Is your USB 6008 showing up on MAX??

Is the Physical channel you assign to it match with its device number in MAX?

Hi Hugh,

I believe we may have been talking about this issue over the phone. By switching the USB device support for this device over to NI-DAQmx via MAX should resolve the issue. VI Logger Lite would have to be used instead of the DAQmx Base datalogger you have been using up to now.
I hope this helps,
