Does NI USB 6008 work with usb 1.0 port driver??

Hi,

I have the following situation:

I've distributed an application software  built with LabWindows CVI 8.0. The app drives an equipment which has a NI USB 6008 DAQ board as a core component.

Well, everything went OK. but yesterday one user called me saying that the software hung up.  He is the only one having this issue.... The only difference between him and other users is that he has a PC with USB 1.0 ports.

I know the specification for the DAQ board  is USB 2.0... but I thought they would be compatible...

Ok, my question is : Will a NI USB 6008 board work fine with an USB 1.0 driver? Should this be a problem??

Hi,

I don't think it does if my experiences are anything to go by - I have a new laptop and an old PC with USB 1.0. The USB 6008 works perfectly on the laptop, but not on the PC. MAX can "see" the USB device on the PC but Labview 8.2.1 can't. From this I conclude my PC is too old to support the USB 2.0 device.
