Dear Dr.
I would like to connect an accelerometer, USB-6009, and my PC.
Do I need any signal conditioner for using acclerometer with USB-6009?
The accelerometer is: http://pcb.com/searchresults.asp
Thank you.

sbomy,
The link you sent is a link to your search results which we can't see. You probably should link the static product page.
What are you trying to measure? What results are you looking for? Do you need excitation voltage? What about anti-aliasing or other similar features? Do you know how you are connecting the accelerometer to the 6009?
All of these specifics will play a part in your decision. In general I would say yes you do need signal conditioning, but this really is very application/accelerometer dependent.

most pcb accels require ICP power. NI provides this signal conditioning with the NI SCC-ICP module, or with our USB-9234 and PXI-4472, 4462, and 4496 modules.
Yes you need to power the accelerometer and the above options are good choices.

Hello sbomy,
Do you get succeed with your accelerometer by connecting to USB 6009. I am doing same kind of operation now. I need some high sensitive accelerometer 1000mV/g. Can you explain your measurement system. That would be helpful to me.
