Device IRQ can't increase beyond 15

As new Laptop computers no more have PCMCIA cards I used My DAQCard-1200 Received with MAC Valve TLD PLD, I used Express card to PCMCIA card converter. It communicates well with card. but during configuration it says Device not respond to 1st IR request. This converter IRQ is 18 which can't change.

But NI Measurment and Automation Explorer (Ver 2.2.0.3010 received with the system) only support IRQ up to 15 only. So Is there any way to solve this.

Will new version Software solve this or any other solution tested ?

Thanks!

Hello Nissanka,

This particular issue might be solved with a BIOS update. In order to update your laptop BIOS you need to contact your computer manufacturer.  It is always a good idea to have the latest version of the BIOS installed on your system, since several issues might be addressed by the new versions.

Moreover, upgrading to the newest NI-DAQmx version (currently 9.2.2) is highly recommended.  This will install the latest version of Measurement and Automation Explorer.  You can download this DAQmx version at:

Installing NI-VISA Run-time Engine version 3.2 or higher is an easy way to update the shared components. The most recent version of NI-VISA is 5.0.2, and it will upgrade the NI-PAL version using an officially released component and installer. This version of NI-VISA includes a newer version of the National Instruments Core Driver which resolves this issue in many systems.  You can download this NI-VISA version at:

This issue may also derive from your operating system in addition to your hardware setup.  Please see:
