DC OFFSET IN ac signal in daq 6025 E

Hey!! I'm working with daq 6025E and the problem is that it shows a DC offset of around 0.5-2V(varying) when ac voltage of around 4V pk-pk is applied to it. the other problem is that even when i'm not giving it any input, it shows me a sinusoid output of say around 3V. This problem occurs in the VI as well as in the test panel of the card. The offset is always found out to be positive! Is there a problem with my card or just in the configuration?? Please help me fix it! Danish Rizvi

Hi Danish Rizvi,

I believe it is most likely a grounding error that is causing the DC offset problem you are experiencing. The link below is to a similar forum post that I hope will solve your problem.

"why do I get an offset with analogue input"http://forums.ni.com/t5/Measurement-Studio-for-VB6/why-i-do-get-an-offset-with-analog-input/m-p/6133...

The first reply to this forum has a link to the Field Wiring and Noise Considerations for Analog Signals guide which is really helpful.

Hope this solves your problem
