DAQmxResetDevice returns -88705 - PCI6111 with DAQmx 9.0.3

Hi,

I am trying to upgrading from Traditional DAQ 7.4.4 to DAQmx 9.0.3 on PCI6111 control by C++.

I use DAQmxResetDevice("Dev1") for resetting PCI6111, but it returned -88705.

I confirmed MAX 4.8 and recognized MAX can access to PCI6111. That looks strange.

I searched past Q&As and found the following thread.

http://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/Error-88705-with-USB-8261-at-system-boot-Must-cycle-power-...

But, it was a problem of version 8.7.1 and the answer was "It was fixed on 9.0.2.

As above, I encountered this error with 9.0.3.

Does anyone know what case can cause this unexpected return?

Thanks,

Neppie

Hi Neppie,

My name is Yusuke Minami, Applications Engineer, National Instruments Japan.

Is your PCI-6111 board recognized as NI PCI-6111 "Dev1"  in MAX under Devices and Interface? Does the same error occur when you right-click NI PCI-6111 "Dev1" and choose Reset Device?

If so, would you try switching PCI slots to troubleshoot?

If the error does not go away with other PCI slots, your board might be out of order. Please contact your nearest office of National Instruments.

Best regards,

Yusuke Minami
