DAQmx AI Temp TC min & max?

The DAQmx Create Virtual Channel, type AI Temp TC has max and min value inputs.  I'm using it with C series thermocouple modules. On other types/devices the min/max inputs are important because they are used to calculate the gain and range used for measurements.  I'm used to wiring these inputs because invariably the default is not what I want.

But for TCs I assume that these modules do not have variable gains, the range/ADC resolution is fixed and therefore I don't have to worry about wiring these inputs because it won't make a difference. Is that correct?

Hi blawson,

The max and min inputs are not required, and it does not seem like these would be necessary. The C Series thermocouples that I can find have a fixed range for the input voltage. I would check the manual for your specific device to be sure, but there should not be selectable values for the hardware voltage range.
