DAQ device option does not appear in the MAX

I have windows 7 enterprise, labview 8.0 and DAQmx-8.6.1 to run a DAQcard 6211. I couldn't install visual studios properly as it was dependant on the .net framework 1.1 which is not compatible with windows 7. What should I do to fix this problem?

P.S. I have reinstalled the device drivers and DAQmx several times.

This is the options I get in the MAX:

DAQmx 8.6.1 does not support Windows 7.  It only supports up to Winodws Vista.  The first DAQmx driver to support Windows 7 was DAQmx 9.0.2.

You could try installing DAQmx 9.0.2.

DAQmx 9.0.2

LabVIEW 8.0 is not officially supported in Windows 7.  Windows 7 was not officially supported until LV 2009 SP1 ( http://www.ni.com/white-paper/10356/en#toc1 ).

If installing 9.0.2 doesn't work, you'll either need to upgrade LabVIEW, or roll back to Windows XP (I don't recommend Vista).

Unfortunately though, DAQmx 9.0.2 doesn't support LabVIEW 8.0 according to here.
