DAQ device and labview do not recognizes each other

I have a DAQPad -6020E I have installed the Software and Labview 7.0 - when the DAQ and the computer are connected the measurement & automation explorer recognizes the DAQ in the devices and interfaces tab. When I test the DAQ using the test function I get a flat line at -10 on the graph – also when using labview the DAQ Assistant shows up ‘No Support Devices found’ in the My Physical Channels column – how can I resolve this.

Your DAQpad is only supported by traditional NI-DAQ. That's where you see it in MAX and test it correct? The DAQ Assistant  is only for devices supported by the newer DAQmx driver. You can still use it in LabVIEW but you will have to use the functions on the NI Measurements>Data Acquisition palette. There are traditional NI-DAQ shipping examples as well that should get you started.
