DAQ Diagnostic files missing

I downloaded the DAQ Diagnostic 2.1.0 program to my computer, installed it, and ran it. Everything seemed to be going fine, but it failed 3 of the 6 diagnostic steps: the Counters, Analog Input, and Analog Output sections. The other 3 passed. I don't believe that it failed because the hardware is bad. I think that it failed because some of the test VI's were missing. In fact, it looked for the test VIs in the "tests" folder in the DAQ Diagnostic 2.1.0 folder, but the "tests" folder doesn't exist. Is this a problem with my download of the Diagnostic tool, or am I supposed to find those VIs somewhere else in my LabVIEW folder?

For your information, I am running LabVIEW 2009, I have run-time 2009, I have NI-DAQmx version 8.9.5, and I am trying to diagnose a USB-6259 DAQ. I noticed that it requires LabVIEW 2009 SP1 run-time. Is this the problem?

Did you download the installer or just the executable itself?  I'm trying to reproduce this issue now.

I downloaded the downloader, which installed the installer, which installed the Diagnostic. Do you think it's because I do not have SP1 on this computer?

I'm able to reproduce what you are seeing, but I'm still working on tracking down why it is happening.  In the mean time, the DAQ Diagnostic Utility 2.0 should work for your immediate needs.

The DAQ Diagnostic 2.0 worked just fine. Are the subVIs not embedded into the 2.1 version? Thanks for helping me out. My DAQ unit passed everything.

I'm thinking that the issue is either than I'm using VIs that weren't added until a later DAQmx version or that aren't included with the base LV2010 runtime, which in DAQ Diagnostic Utility installs.  I should have a fixed version up later this week.

Just to finish out the thread.  I've update the version of the DAQ Diagnostic Utility that is on the download page with a fix for this issue.  For those who are curious, I forgot to include the analysis library with the LabVIEW 2010 run-time engine in the installer, which is why this was failing.  This is fixed now.

Same issue here.. tests folder is missing.

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW: The VI is not executable. Most likely the VI is broken or one of its subVIs cannot be located. Select File>>Open to open the VI and then verify that you are able to run it.
