DAQ 6259

Hi

We are planning to conduct an experiement using NI-DAQPAD-6259 .Is it possible to synthesis 1ns pulse to trigger a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier(SOA) using above mentioned DAQ. We are using SOA 1013S. If it is possible what is the rise time and fall time of the trigger pulse.

Kindly reply as soon as possible.

Thanking you

A pulse *width* or *period* of 1 nanosec?   Nope, not possible.  The internal timebase is (likely) only 80 MHz and you'd need to generate at 1 or 2 GHz to get a pulse of 1 nanosec width or period respectively.

CAUTION! New LabVIEW adopters -- it's too late for me, but you *can* save yourself. The new subscription policy for LabVIEW puts NI's hand in your wallet for the rest of your working life. Are you sure you're *that* dedicated to LabVIEW? (Summary of my reasons in this post, part of a voluminous thread of mostly complaints starting here).
