Couldn't read signal from PCI-6013, please help

Hi, everyone,

I have a PCI-6013 set up for data aquisation. In the past, I have no trouble reading data using it.

But recently, I need to add one more signal to the input. Before I connect the signal to the DAQ, I measured this signal using a multimeter, the reading was 0.1V and was constant. But when I connected this signal to DAQ, using test panel in Measurement and Automation, I could see that the reading was totally nuts. It looked like random zigzag jumping from 10V to 0V to 3V.  I changed a BNC cable that connecting my new signal to DAQ, the reading was still wrong. But using the same channel, I can read my old data input correctly.

My DAQ's input is differential.

Any one has any idea?

Thank you very much.

What is the source of this new signal??
How is it floating?? ground referenced??

One thing i would suggest: Instead of Diff, connect this new signal in single ended mode and see if your measuerment is accurate
