Connecting ground ref signal to a PCI 6023E

Sorry if this is a very basic question. Working with a PCI 6023E, is it correct to connect the positive lead from my ground referenced source (a Hot Wire Anemometer, 0-5 V output) to 'any available' ACH pin (in the NI TBX68 block), and connect the negative (black cable) from the source with the AISENSE pin (# 62, NRSE config), if addtional connections have already been made with this board?.

The data acquisition system we have came 'in-built' with the rig and now I dare to use available channels this HWA. The current system reads data through a torque-speed transducer (60 pulses at 1200 rpm, 0-5 volts) from the rig and has also connected a FE-570-FV Frequency-Voltage Converter. Then, again, the question is: can I try this NRSE configuration without upsetting the actual system?

Update on above message:

I connected the HWA trhough the TBX 68 to the PCI 6023E. I used a spare channel (ACH 12) for the 'positive' signal and connected the negative lead of the HWA to the AISENSE pin #62 (not used in the present configuration). The voltages read by the software (not LabView) were higher (6-9V) to those I read with a voltmeter (0.57 V)..  If any of you have a clue why this voltage reading could have happened, I would be happy if it is shared with me.

Is your software configured to read that particular channel, in the same mode as it is connected?? check it out

Also check voltage reading on that channel using MAX test panel after selecting the appropriate mode. Now, see if your values match with your voltmeter reading

This will confirm that your wiring is correct and its the software that is intepreting the ADC reading incorrectly
