Compatible voltage & current sensors/data loggers for USB-6009 DAQ.

I am interested in using the USB data acquisition units from NI to take voltage and current readings. I would like to log the voltage and current readings so they can be graphed and possibly shown in realtime. The maximum voltage will be 480 VAC and maximum current will be 30A. Does anyone have any suggestions for sensors or data loggers to use with this USB DAQ? Does anyone recommend other voltage/current data loggers that are compatible with Labview? Thanks for the help.

Hi wigging,

Currently, there are no NI USB DAQ devices that can handle 480 VAC or 30 A directly. Our DMMs can handle 1000 V, but cap out on current at 3 A. You could use a current clamp to determine the current.

As for datalogging, LabVIEW SignalExpress is really straightforward for acquisition and generation, and can created LabVIEW code automatically. You can record and view your data in as you acquire.

If you would like I can request that one of our technical sales representatives contact you directly.

Please post back if you have any questions. Have a great weekend!
