Can't get MAX to recognise device properly

I'm trying to get an old piece of test equipment going that uses a USB-6009 for interfacing. A software package was developed by a now defunct company 15 odd years ago and now i'm trying to get it to function on a more modern PC.

I've managed to install the software that came with it and have upgraded to the latest version of MAX. I can now see it in the device list, but don't have any of the self-test or configuration buttons (see screenshot) the device also doesn't appear in the device monitor app.

Any ideas to try are greatly appreciated.

The screenshot shows that NI MAX has detected the USB device but there is no driver associated with it. Have you installed NI-DAQmx?
