Can SCXI 1102 measure current and voltage signals simultaneously?

Solved!
Go to solution

This may be a simple question, but I have a pair of humidity sensors that output 3x 0-10 Vac @ 10 mA max signals that will be connected to a test loop that will also have a pair of flow transducers that output 2x 4-20 mA signals, and I need to find out if I can connect all four sensors to the same SCXI 1102 card with a 1300 terminal block, or if I need separate cards for the voltage and current signals. I'm also looking at additional hardware for other sensors, so I can get a different card if it will do the job better.

Thanks in advance!

Hey BBalmforth!

If I understand your system description correctly you want to measure the Voltages from the humidity sensors and the Current from the flow transducers simultaneously.

This can absolutely be done with the 1102.  In the DAQmx driver we can individually select the channels to read the voltage input from the humidity sensors, then choose the appropriate channels to read the current from the flow transducers.

Let us know if there is anything else you need clarified!
