Can I turn off input filtering to sample a high frequency bandlimited signal on a 6259?

In other words, I want to use the "bandfolding" or "undersampling" technique to sample a signal where nyquist is satisfied for its BW, but it is centered at hundreds of MHz. I tried it using the minimum +/- 0.1V input range but the signal on the computer is just low level noise. So I realized the 6259 probably has some form of input LPF and saw:

Small signal bandwidth (–3 dB)......1.7 MHz

on the spec sheet. So looks like it can't be done, unless there is some way to bypass that?

You are correct, the 6259 has a bandwidth limitation on the front end, and there is no way around this. This was designed to filter out any high frequency aliasing, one may see. A scope would be your best option for this type of application. I recommend looking into the SCOPE page for the appropriate hardware.
