Hi everyone,
I am asked to acquire a bunch of thermocouples with a DAQ 6062E card (and SC2345) but I am wondering if it is possible or not. The smallest input range is 100mV and with a resolution of 12bits, it gives a resolution in volts of 0.0244 mV or 24uV. If I compare this value to the NIST table of type K thermocouple (in celsius degrees) :
1°C: 0.039 mV
2°C: 0.079 mV
So I should get a resolution of less than 1°C. Even if it is not the best card for that application...
Thanks for your help

Hello,
The card got a finer resolution than the sensor himself.
Your problem should come from your sensor.
Resolution of a K type sensor : 41 microVolts per degree Celsius

Hi,
Thanks for your answer and the interesting link.
We will proceed with K-type thermocouples.
