epos2 studio gui adjustment error at statrup wizard

hello

I am new at motion control, motor drives and these stuffs..

 

I have a Epos2 50/5

and maxon encoder head HEDS-5540

I have some diffulties with this encoder to get related position data with faulhaber. It is skipping some encoder data and jumping about 1000 pulses at different time scales.

So I decided to install epos2 program which is epos studio. But I am not able to use it. Because it always saying

"GUI is not adjusted. Please start refreshing in order to adjust gui."

I cannot find a solution. So I cannot connect the epos2 to my pc.

My pc window 7 64 bit

also I tried it windows xp 32 bit

also another windows 7 32 bit

 

same error.

What am I skipping?

Also do you have an idea why faulhaber motion controller (rs232 connection to linux) skipiing and jumping the encoder data. Can't it reach the encoder data because of its

You should call maxon for questions about their driver and Epos Studio.

Hi,

 

What National Instruments software are you using to try and interface with this device?  Also, when you say the encoder count jumps, is it that it is just slow to update but actually displays to the right count or it just randomly adds 1000 counts regardless of if the motor is turning?

The error means that the device is not connected to the power supply correctly. check the power supply connection and the cable.
