Using all encoders on PCI-7332

Hello!

I have a PCI-7332 motion controller connected to a UMI-7764. In MAX I see that I have 4 encoders on the 7332. Are there 4 encoders on the PCI-7332? I use 2 encoders (encoder 1 and 2) as feedback from my motor control (Axis 1 and 2), and I want to use the other two (encoder 3 and 4) to measure some external signals (encoders). How do I connect to encoder 3 and 4. Do I use encoder input signals from axis 3 and 4?

this should be straight forward. Connect your encoders to the remaining encoder inputs of axis 3 and 4 on the UMI, enable them with Enable Encoders.flx and read the values with Read Encoder Position.flx.

This assumes, that you are using LabVIEW, but it's pretty much the same in any other programming language.
