Hello, I uesd your file to check the communication with our MM440, it has no response.

I can use DriveMonitor to communication with it, and all the parameters are right.

P2013=4

P2012=8

P0700=4

P1000=4

P2010=6(9600)

P2011=0

I also used the program "free serial port monitor" to verify the communication between MM440 and DriveMonitor,  the length changes, sometimes 0E, sometimes 0C, so I think maybe the lengh PKW is variable. Then I checked again P2013, its value is 4.

So I don't understand how MM440 can communicate with PC.

I also copied the commands in use of Labview, no response.

What do you think?

hey,

please try again using a baud rate of 38400 baud (P2010=8).

the VIs should work properly then.

Do you use appropriate CDS, DDS sets?

Hello,

 I tested with baudrate 38400, it doesn't work.

CDS and DDS will influence the communication?

It ofcourse depends what set of the CDS, DDS you have selected to use!!!!!! Almost all comands have indexes [0..2] which correspond to selected CDS or DDS command set. You should learn at first something about the Siemens inverters.

New release

version 1.0 - 12.02.2009
-minor changes
-VIs icon colours altered
-CyclicRequest__USS.vi - Added option to read values of the drive without driving it - DriveControl ON/OFF(F=OFF1). Usefull when the drive is ramping down and you still want to read the values of the drive
-Example02_comm.vi changed to support DriveControl ON/OFF(F=OFF1) option

Hello Ceties,

I checked all the parameter that I set, actually there is no problem.

I know the CDS and DDS parameters are important for the inverter, but I think for establishing the communication, only the parameters: adresse,  baudrate, length of PKW and PZD, P0700 and P1000 are necessary. You can change all the other parameters after establishing the communicaion.

Hello Flo,

Could you send me your file about the parameter of the MM440? I just want to compare with my parameter file, I want to find the problem.

Thank you.

Did you try sending just plain mirror telegram? Did you try to communicate with the device via starter?

Hello,

I can use the soft "DriveMonitor" to communicate with the device MM440, but not via "Starter".

Via the soft "free serial port monitor", I get the commands and the responses from port COM1 in using "DriveMonitor"; then I copy the command and send it in the program Labview, it has no response.

Hello Flo,

Could you send me your parameter list about MM440, I have no idea what can I do now?

Thank you.
