Hi,
I’m new to motion control so please excuse any bluntness.
I am trying to set up a system which can perform linear and rotational motion, controlled independently. I have a dual axis actuator already in mind, http://www.haydonkerk.com/LinearActuatorProducts/StepperMotorLinearActuators/DualMotionLinearActuato...
I want to control the system using labview. The actuator supplier has advised me to purchase two drives to drive the actuator in both axes.
http://www.haydonkerk.com/LinearActuatorProducts/Drives/DCS4020SeriesChopperDrive/tabid/120/Default....
So my question has two parts;
Is there a NI controller that will allow me to interface those two haydon kerk drivers with labview?
Or alternatively, are there any NI drivers I can instead pair with the actuator and a NI controller?
The haydon kerk webpage says that any "standard two axis stepper motor driver" will be able to drive the dual axis actuator.
Any help here would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Here are two links that might help you as you're getting started.

I hope this helps!

Hello,
I'm very new to motion control and have been struggling a lot lately. It would be great if you could help.
So, i am also controlling the two axis, one linear and one ratatory. I'm using RS232 for the communication.
i have an iPOS4808 controller from Technosoft.
I'm facing difficulty in controlling the rotatary axis. Afterwards i should be able to give in the commands also in G and M codes to be able to control the two axis.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you
