Hi All,
I have a cRIO 9045 Controller with NI-9516 I/O Module controlling a motor via an Advance Motion Control Amplifier. The signals are connected from the cRIO to the motor (brushed), via the Amp, through a NI 9516 37-Pin Terminal Block. I can provide more information on the setup if required.
The system works. I can program the motor to accomplish the task required. However, I am coming across this error,
-77149: The requested operation is not supported for this axis type.
every time I try to use the Gain Tuning Panel - Step Response interface (for position). The Gain Tuning Panel - Move interface (for velocity) works as advertised. I looked through the NI website on SoftMotion related issues and this particular code didn't come up. I want to tune the position response of the motor because it is off by 75-150 counts - its not a glaring issues, but I'd like the error to be as close to Zero as possible.
What is the issue? What am I doing wrong?
