Motor Brake NI pci 6251 position control

Hello,

I'm designing a labview VI for  the NI pci 6251 position control using adaptive control theory. in order to test the adaptive control i need to be able to change the Load on the DC motor.

the idea was to connect a second motor in the same board but acting like a load (by using a variable resistance)

1) where can i find new motor ? how much

2) will it work ?

Thanx

Hello aswwa,

Are you using the NI ELVIS and Quanser kit? If you are, are you looking for a similar motor? National Instruments only has servo and stepper motors for sale on our site.

hello,

The current load on the motor (flywheel) has two threaded holes which you can use to attach more loads. this way you can run your models using different loads. The only think you wont be able to do is to vary the load resistance in real time.
