How to control a ac servo motor using Labview?

Hello,

I am new to motor control with Labview.
I have a Panasonic AC servo motor with driver Model MCDHT3520BA1.
I would like to control using Labview.
I have NI-cRIO 9025. I want to use it Position control mode, with EtherCAT communication.
Does anyone have sample VI code.??

Thanks

I believe the white paper will contain the information you're looking for. The community example may also be of some assistance.

You have given link to 'Servo motor (RC) control using LabVIEW' which is not my case.

I am using AC servo motor with driver Model MCDHT3520BA1. I want to control it in labview with EtherCAT communication.

I want simple example in labview with I can move motor in forward or backward by say 10 rotation with 2rev/sec speed.

how to send command through etherCAT, I dont know.

Thanks for reply.

Actually we dont have NI softmotion module.

I have to do this assignment with sending EtherCAT commands only.

But I am not getting any info. regarding this.

Hi Krishnat,

Without Softmotion, this would be difficult. This is one of the reasons why Softmotion exists.

I have to do this assignment with sending EtherCAT commands only.

I personally do not recommend trying to send individual EtherCAT commands to control your motion system. While it might be possible, it is a non-trivial task.
