Measurement studio capabilities

We are planning to buy Measurement Studio for Visual Studio 6.0 or .NET in the near future. I want to learn the capabilities of Measurement studio. I found a document stating that measurement studio can be used for developing instrument drivers. Is this correct and if this is possible, which version of the program supports instrument driver development?

To develop instrument drivers, I would recommend using CVI. CVI provides a rich set of functions for analysis, instrument control and data aquisition.
