Licence Problem with Measurement Studio and Visual Basic 2008 Express

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello!

I have a licence for the professional edition of measurement studio 8.5 and I use the express edition of Visual Basic 2008.

I'm trying to use the FFTfunction but get the exception {"NationalInstruments.Restricted.AnalysisLicenser is unlicensed."}

Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks in advance!

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

This is expected for any Visual Studio express edition because those editions don't allow 3rd party integration. Thus you need to perform a few extra steps to get licensing to work properly.  Refer to the Measurement Studio Support for Visual Studio Express Editions KB (in  particular, the 2nd paragraph which points you to our help).

Getting back into DAQ after some time off and am having a similar problem.

I am using Visual Studio 2008 Pro and installed Visual Studio 8.1.2 Enterprise.  I know these versions don't  integrate  (don't know if I even saw the option during installation) so I added the licx file to my project as many of the help files say to.

Simple C# Winforms test app with one control on one form.  Debug and get the "unlicensed assembly" error.  I've re-read the article

Using Measurement Studio 8.1.2 with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 several times but still no luck.

What can I try next?  I was surprised it never asked for my serial number during installation.

Thank You all.
