Are .NET classes included in NI-DAQmx ?

I need to embed some very basic USB-based data acquisition into an existing VB.NET (VisStudio 2003) application.  Don't need graphing or data storage...just the ability to raise a digital line to request an "operation", and to listen on a couple of digital/analog input lines for the "response" to the requested operation.

Would prefer to use native .NET classes rather than ActiveX or COM interop stuff...
