Hi All,
I have simple(i think) but annoying problem where i can't see to find the anwser for. My apologies if I have looked over an example which includes this.
I am trying to set up a continuous buffered acquisition of a number of channels, which is saved to a speadsheet file for later analysis. My Vi is almost the same as this simple only example http://www.ni.com/example/25282/en/ but i am not displaying the data on a waveform but sending it to a speadsheet.
My problem is that apart from saving all the data I want a time stamp with each of the data point so i know when it is taken. Now my problem is that when i use the elapsed time VI to get the time stamps I get a number a samples which are taken at the same time,
as an example I get time stamps at the following points: 0 0.003 0.004 0.004 0.005 0.007, instead of a nicely increasing time series. Does anybody know or have a reference on how to do this?
Cheers,
Hilbert

Hi Hilbert
Are you trying to get the actual time that the data was acquired or the difference in time between the samples?
If you could attached a screen of your code so we can see how you’re using the Elapsed Time VI, that would be helpful.
If you’re trying to get the actual time, the link below shows a few different ways to implement this.
