Thanks for using our discussion forums! There are a few reasons you may be receiving this error, and some extra info such as what board, camera, and driver version you are using might help as well.
1. Make sure your camera is connected and powered
2. Make sure you have the most recent IMAQ driver version
3. Make sure you have selected the proper camera file in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)
4. Make sure to set appropriate parameters for your camera through MAX. For example, adjust the video mode, frame size, and timeout values
5. Try to snap and grab in MAX before you try this through any programming.
