Helo,
I try to use the "run VI" tool of vbai (2010). When I lunch the inspection on my PC (with labview 2010) it's ok but on another PC (without labview) I have a mistake message (dll is missing).
Have I to copy data in a specific folder to use this tool?
Have you got some solutions to solve my problem?
Thanks
Ulysse

If you go to the Context Help while editing the Run LabVIEW VI step, you will see instructions for how to build your VI into an LLB for diustribution so it will work on other machines that don't have LabVIEW installed. If you're still having problems, would you be able to post your top level VI on the forum?
Thanks,
Brad

Hello,
I try to make a llb file with this tuto:
http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361G-01/lvhowto/build_source_distrib/
but my llb file contains only the VI I have created (I just need a VI that play a beep when a part is bad) and no SubVI. When I lauch it in VBAI, the result is the same (see the image).
The exemple "Run LabVIEW VI Example.vbai" use "Graph Chocolate.vi" which is not in a llb file and it runs so I don't understand.
Regards,
Ulysse

If you read the Context Help for the Run LabVIEW step, it has specific instructions to make the LLB work for Vision Builder AI. I'm not including the instructions here because they change slightly depending on which version of VBAI you are using. Here are some helpful links though:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/231D87B9D8C3B71A862572D4007EAAF8
Go to the Run LabVIEW step in VBAI, edit it, and then go to Help>>Show Context Help (Ctrl-H). In the FAQs tab there will be a link to describe in detail how to build your LLB for distribution...read it carefully and follow the directions.
Hope this helps,
Brad

I am relativily new to both LabVIEW and Vision Builder. We only have LV 2013. Will I need to obtain/install 2012 in order to create a 2012 build for Vision Builder to use? I tried saving the VI as a "previous version" but don't seem to be having any success; still getting the error "This step only supports LabVIEW 2012 VIs or ealier, etc...)".
Thank you
Pete
