how to test line's length

hello everyone,

                          I want to test the line's length ,the picture as follow, i use Ni vision assistant to do it ,but i can't get the result, Any help is very grateful,

Hi longzeng,

Are you still looking for a solution to this problem. I think the best method in Vision Assistant will be to threshold the image and then perform a particle analysis on the result. The Particle Analysis step will have a very large selection of possible outputs. I have selected those that will likely be of the most interest in the Vision Assistant script attached below. You may need to do some tweaking to get reliable and consistant performance from the thresholding step, but I believe this will perform the functionality you are seeking.
